Los Alcázares comes alive once again with a new edition of its international urban art festival

The streets of Los Alcázares are once again being transformed into an open-air art gallery with the celebration of the fourth edition of the International Urban Art Festival, taking place from 14th to 17th May. During these days, nearly fifty artists from across Spain and countries such as Colombia, France, Portugal and Germany are bringing colour, creativity and personality to different corners of the town through brand-new murals.

The event continues to strengthen Los Alcázares’ reputation as one of the leading urban art destinations in the Region of Murcia. This year’s edition will add 50 new artworks throughout the municipality, including large-scale murals and smaller artistic interventions that will further expand the well-known “Museum of the Mar Menor”.

Beyond its visual and cultural impact, the festival also stands out for its social and community spirit. Established artists will share space with emerging talents, associations and groups working towards social inclusion, creating a unique atmosphere of connection and cultural exchange.

The programme also features public activities, urban art talks, exhibitions, live music and tourist train routes allowing visitors to discover some of Los Alcázares’ most iconic murals and watch the artists at work in real time.

Without a doubt, this is an event that once again highlights how art, culture and street life are part of the essence of Los Alcázares, making the town an increasingly attractive place not only to visit, but also to call home.
